(While playing outside) Abby: Hey look mommy, a UPS truck!
Six year-old: That says "ups."
Seven year-old: Yeah, it says "ups."
Emily: Actually it says UPS. It stands for the company's name. (In my head only, I was saying, "So there, nyah!")
Abby: Daddy, I made a Kwanzaa mat at school.
Brad: A what?
Abby: A mat.
Brad: A mac?
Abby: A mat.
Brad: A map?
Abby: NO! (frustrated) Mommy, will you spell it for him so he knows what I'm talking about?
